Andrew Brenzel

Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Science from University of Wisconsin - Green Bay

Mr. Andrew earned his Bachelor of Science in Education from the University of Wisconsin--Green Bay and his Bachelor of Arts in both Spanish and Political Science from the University of Wisconsin--La Crosse. He is licensed to teach all subjects in Elementary and Middle School and in addition, he has licenses in High School Social Studies, Spanish, English as a Second Language, and Bilingual-Bicultural Education. Prior to coming to TCIS, Mr. Andrew was a Bilingual Elementary teacher in Green Bay, Wisconsin. In this role, he worked with native Spanish speakers, teaching in both English and Spanish. From this experience, he brings a depth of knowledge in the instruction of English learners. As an educator, he works hard to build relationships and to help all students gain proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, and listening in English. He is currently in his fifth year at TCIS and teaching MS/HS Social Studies.

Anne Elizabeth Scott Vela

Undergraduate majors from St. John’s College in Annapolis, Maryland included science, philosophy, and literature Currently in the process of completing a master’s thesis on language acquisition in multilingual settings from University of Pais Vasco/Basque Country in Spain

Teacher Anne began teaching primary years science and social studies in their hometown of Tampa, Florida, USA, followed by teaching English language and subject content as well as designing teaching materials in Shanghai, China. Undergraduate majors from St. John’s College in Annapolis, Maryland included science, philosophy, and literature. Teacher Anne is currently in the process of completing a master’s thesis on language acquisition in multilingual settings from University of Pais Vasco/Basque Country in Spain, using research collaborated on while an intern at the Basque Center for Cognition, Brain, and Language. Their teaching philosophy and experience is that the strongest learning is achieved through meaningful activities in a mindful and collaborative classroom. Teacher Anne thinks young learners are already natural scientists and explorers, and is dedicated to guiding students to find joy in the process of discovery and communication. A lifelong learner, their teaching motto is “I don’t know! Let’s find out together!”
 

Axel Fernando Quintanar-Peña

Bachelor of Science Degree in Applied Physics, Eastern Kentucky University

Axel is a first-year teacher here at TCIS. Previously, he has 2 years of teaching experience in Physics, AP Physics, AP Calculus AB, Precalculus, Geometry, Algebra 1 & 2, and Excel & LaTeX. He is a motivated and focused teacher with a passion for science and mathematics. He enjoys coming up with simple analogies that help students understand topics more effectively and deeply. Science is not just for scientists and engineers; it is for everyone! He hopes to inspire this upcoming generation to use the knowledge that they will learn, not only in the classroom, but also to apply it in real life.
Axel also enjoys going on motorcycle rides, running, CrossFit, hiking, playing games, and watching movies. He enjoys video editing drone footage, too!

Brad Wilson

Bachelor of Arts in Physical Education and Health

Mr. Bradley is originally from Spring Grove, Pennsylvania, USA. In Pennsylvania, he grew up on a horse farm which helped develop a strong work ethic. When he was young, you could find him playing lacrosse, swimming in the ocean, and golfing. 

Mr. Bradley studied Physical Education and Health at the University of North Carolina Wilmington.  After university, he took a job teaching elementary P.E. within the Campbell Unified School District in San Jose, California.  His first educational experience abroad was teaching in Bangkok, Thailand at the Thai-Chinese International School. In 2020, he decided it was time to leave Bangkok and took a position at the American School Hong Kong. Mr. Bradley is excited to be back at TCIS and living in Bangkok again! Outside of school, he likes to play ice hockey, golf, take photos, and listen to all types of music.

 

Bree Tsai

Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) from National Taiwan University Master of Science in Counseling, School Counseling Concentration from Johns Hopkins University

Ms. Bree was born and raised in Bangkok, Thailand, and is a proud alumna of TCIS, graduating with the Class of 2016. She pursued her undergraduate studies in Taiwan, driven by a love of science and a passion for saving animals. As her interest in human behavior and emotional well-being grew, she pursued advanced studies in counseling to support the holistic development of students. Ms. Bree is committed to supporting students’ academic, emotional, and social growth while helping them navigate their K-12  journey. Her door is always open, whether it’s to talk through a tough day, celebrate good news, or chat about the latest K-pop comeback.

Brian Deschenes

B.A. Linguistics and English as a Second Language from Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM)

Coming from a very small town in the province of Quebec, Canada, Mr. Brian subsequently moved to Québec City to obtain his College degree in Literature from Garneau College (Québec) and Montréal for his Bachelor's degree in Linguistics/Teaching English as a Second Language. As a licensed educator certified by the Ministry of Education in Quebec and holder of the CEFRANC certification to teach French as a first language, he brings over 19 years of diverse teaching experience, both in Taiwan (14 years) and in Canada (over 5 years). His teaching journey has spanned elementary to high school levels, covering subjects such as English, French, Social Studies, Multimedia, Ethics, AP Language and Composition, and TOEFL classes

Brianna Butler

B.S in Health Education and Promotion, Georgia Southern University

Ms. Brianna is from Georgia and taught middle school English Language Arts and English as a Second Language in Houston, Texas, for 5 years prior to joining TCIS. She has experience teaching grades 6-8. She is entering her first full year at TCIS and will be teaching 8th-grade English Language Arts and 9th-grade Foundational Literature. Ms. Brianna’s favorite thing about being an educator is the ability to build trust and rapport with her students so that the learning process runs smoothly and is of the highest benefit to students. She prioritizes meeting students where they are and doing whatever it takes to help them succeed.

 

Brianna Edghill

Undergraduate: Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology, 2015 from The University of Tulsa Graduate: Master of Business, 2016

Ms. Brianna comes from the United States. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Anthropology in 2015, and her Master of Business Administration degree in 2016 from The University of Tulsa. After some time in the educational nonprofit sector, she then went on to pursue a career in education abroad. She has taught in China, Vietnam, and now in Thailand. Brianna has 3 years' experience teaching students from 2 years old up to Grade 6.

Chalita (Fai) Srikasikit

Bachelor of Education (2nd Class Honors)

Ms. Chalita Srikasikit (Kru Fai) has a Bachelor's Degree of Education from Chulalongkorn University. Kru Fai's interest is in working in the field of education, especially working with primary and kindergarten children. She has gained plenty of experience through both teaching in a school system and tutoring students. Before working at TCIS, she worked as a Thai language and Thai Cultural teacher at Pan-Asia International School, teaching Grade 1-8 students for 2 years. It has been a long-time interest of Kru Fai to educate the young, and working at TCIS she gets to fulfill her passion and work in an environment where she genuinely enjoys her work.

Chanitnun (Buab) Sukkasem

BA in Thai language and Literature

Ms. Chanitnun Sukkasem (Kru Buab) has a Bachelor’s Degree of Thai language and Literature from Thammasat University. She started her teaching career at TCIS. She has worked at TCIS as a Thai language and culture teacher for almost 20 years. Kru Buab has received the Outstanding Teacher Award from the Private Educational Association of Samutprakarn in 2014 and 2018. Kru Buab is responsible for the D.A.R.E. project (Drug Abuse Resistance Education) which has been designed to provide students with the knowledge and tools they need to resist drugs, alcohol, and other high risk behaviors.
