New Logo Announced

Recently both the Foundation Board and the Thai Ministry of Education approved a new TCIS logo to replace the logo that has been in use since our founding.  The design work was done by a professional designer and many design options were evaluated before a final design was selected.

We are proud of our heritage and history so we have retained the Chinese character and flower in the logo to honor our Taiwanese roots. Second, by changing the logo to  “TCIS” from “Thai-Chinese International School” we help address the impression that we are only a Chinese language school. While our Chinese program is the best in Thailand, we are an American curriculum, trilingual school and we want people to think about us when considering international schools. To further communicate that point we have included “international school” in the new logo and have also included our founding year to highlight our long-term standing as a leading international school. Third, red and blue in the logo are common colors in the American, Taiwanese and Thai flags and thus helps celebrate our trilingual focus. Fourth, we have included a gold laurel wreath. The laurel wreath and the color gold symbolize status, achievement, creativity, prosperity, wisdom and victory and its use dates back to ancient Greece and Rome.

It will take time to fully transition from our current logo to our new logo, however you will begin to see our new logo around campus and online very soon.  We hope you are excited about the evolution of the logo as we continue to look toward the future.
