Dive Certification and Ocean Cleanup Trip

ReSEA is a new high school club at TCIS this year where students focus on educating the student body about ocean conservation as well as focusing on how to protect and restore the local reefs. Recently, ReSEA student group members experienced a ReSEA Dive and Eco trip. Students returned to TCIS well educated about the importance of our oceans and reefs, as well as what they can do as young adult to restore the sea. Most importantly they all came back as certified open water divers, a lifetime ticket to explore the underwater world.

During the trip students: Kevin, Pont, Taem, Tham, Nick and Sam along with chaperone Mr. Rob learned how to dive. ReSEA president, Berry, came on the trip already certified and worked closely with the Big Blue Conservation Warriors learning the importance of our oceans and how to restore and manage artificial reefs. We finished the trip by all contributing on an underwater reef clean up dive where our sole objective was to remove anything nonorganic from the ocean and reefs.

Our very own TCIS Dive Master and organizer of the trip, Ms. Tiffany, would like to thank the school and parents for all the support to give our students such a unique experience. A huge thank you to all the dive professionals at Big Blue Diving especially our instructors Landon and Jordan for going above and beyond to make this an unforgettable trip for our TCIS students.
