AP Students Inspiring Visit to Camillian House

Ms. Daina's AP Language and Composition students are studying literature topics related to disabilities. To help bring the topic to life, students visited Camillian House. Camillian Home is one of the few facilities in Thailand dedicated to caring for these children in a family atmosphere, and it aims to serve as a model in caring for vulnerable children with special needs.People living with disabilities and their families often face embarrassment, discrimination and misconception from the general public; as an extension of our unit on Informed Citizenship, our AP Language and Composition students will have the opportunity to connect classroom discussions on the topic of disability on a local scale, and will bring these real-life experiences back into the classroom for further discussion.
