Residents of Thana City/NC are billed and thus pay for phone and water through the office in Bldg. A. Additional charges for technician's services (say, you asked the technician to fix a leaking faucet in your apartment) may also be added to this monthly bill. Depending on your arrangement with your landlord, some tenants may also pay a common expenses fee of about 4,000 baht every quarter for other services, including 24-hour security, pool maintenance, and upkeep of garden. Rent can be paid through direct bank deposits.
The easiest way to pay your utilities and local bills if you are living in Thana City is to give the money to the personnel in the main office of Building C, who will take care of it for you. At present, they do levy a service charge of about a dollar for doing this, but only for the electric bill, as they have to pay it elsewhere for you. This charge is inconsistently levied, though, and sometimes the office staff (in particular Khun Charn, who you will get to know) forgets, or just does not bother, to charge you. But, this is pretty inexpensive, anyway, considering it saves you messing around finding offices to pay your bills.

One of the services performed by the office staff of TCIS is the payment
of teachers' electric bills provided you give the money and bill ahead of
time. Otherwise you may have to make a quick visit to the electric company
yourself, about 15 minutes ride from school. You can also pay through 7-11
or a particular cell phone shop in Central Bangna (which also accepts payments
for cell phones subscriptions and sells concert tickets).
